Men are born soft and supple;

dead, they are stiff and hard.

Plants are born tender and pliant;

dead, they are brittle and dry.

Thus whoever is stiff and inflexible

is a disciple of death.

Whoever is soft and yielding

is a disciple of life.

The hard and stiff will be broken.

The soft and supple will prevail.

Lao Tzu - (Tao Te Ching, chapter 76, translation by Stephen Mitchell)

The more white in your soul, the more the heart becomes soft, the more black in your soul, the harder the heart becomes.

Conversely, to strengthen the light, you need flexibility to accept everything that happens in front of you, you can not let go of black with your stubborn mind.

Stiff and inflexible prevents the growth of the soul.

Soft and yielding grow the soul up.
